The foundation of the "Freedom Tower" is being constructed. It looks like A complicated operation. Tons of concrete are being poured. It is a slow process.

The famous World Trade Center Stairway now sits on the West side of the site.

On March 11, 2008 I had an interview for a Principal Court Clerk position in the NYC Civil Court. Before the interview, I visited "Ground Zero". After the interview, I walked from Chinatown up to 52nd Street and Broadway. In passing, I took photos in Chinatown (above photo), SoHo, the Village, and Times Square and Broadway. There was a fire in a boiler room in a building on 48th Street and 9th Ave. I was nearby, so I took some apparatus photos. On my way back to the train, I took a couple of photo's of an FDNY Ambulance on 42nd Street.

The old cast iron buildings in Soho make for great photos.

I used the zoom lens to make the fire escapes and objects appear closer to each other.

These two SoHo buildings are painted pink, an interesting color for a building.

New York City has its own "Rainbow Row" in the Village.

This photo is looking down Broadway towards 42nd Street.

Rescue Company one at the Oil burner fire on Ninth Avenue.

Engine Company 54 on Ninth Ave and 48th Street

Ladder Company 4 also operated at the scene.

A FDNY EMS Ambulance had a call on 42nd Street near Broadway.

Rescue Medics at the scene!

The call was either an RMA (Refused Medical Aid) or an unnessary call, or gone on arrival.
