U.S. Airways Flight 1549 crash landed in the Hudson River on January 15th 2009 after the Airbus A320 lost power in both engines after striking a flock of Canadian geese. The Pilot, Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger made a miraculous landing saving all 155 persons on board. This photo was taken on January 18th 2009 after the plane was pulled from the water by a crane and lifted onto a barge.

This is one of the damaged jet engines. The other engine was recovered by sonar and divers a few days later.
