A man jumped or fell on to the tracks as a westbound number 7 subway train approached the station at Roosevelt Ave & 103 Street in the Corona section of Queens, N.Y.. Members from Engine 289 and ladder 129 and Squad 288 alomg with NYPD Emergency Service officers crawled under the train on the elevated tracks to rescue the victim who was alive. The victim was extricated and removed to the hospital suffering from leg injuries.

Rescue workers had to make sure the power to the tracks were turned off before removing the victim.

The victim suffered leg injuries.

The victim had to be removed through the train to reach the platform. This was a very successful rescue. FDNY Firefighters and NYPD Emergency Service Officers and EMS should be commended for a job well done!
